Chelsea Wewege
Chelsea Wewege is a dancer from Durban, South Africa, who began her dance training at the age of two at Harlequin Dance Studio under the direction of Susan Cleary.
Her early dedication to dance led to a full scholarship to the AAB New York Summer School at the age of 14, followed by professional training at the Central School of Ballet in London, where she graduated with honours. Chelsea has since performed internationally, including touring the United Kingdom with Vienna Festival Ballet.
Chelsea is currently an Artist with WGRUV Dance Company, where she contributes her experience, artistry, and storytelling to the company’s creative vision.
“Dance is the most natural way for me to be a storyteller - to invite an audience into a world of expression and emotion that cannot be captured with words. It allows me to be myself without filters, and being part of WGRUV means belonging to a community committed to creating impact beyond the stage.”
